The Malerweg, also known as “The Painter’s Way” is a fairly easy-going 112km hike in east Germany’s Elbe Valley, and is most well-known for being the inspiration behind several Romantic painter’s naturalist landscape paintings. On this episode we speak to Alexandra Koken, who shares with us her 8-day experience hiking the trail and what makes it one of her favourite treks to this day. From there, her love for walking and hiking adventures spiraled.
